A more beautiful smile starts with a plan

Cosmetic dentistry is not just about “whiter teeth”. A good result means teeth that are in harmony with your face, lips and gums and that look natural – at home, in photos and in conversation. That is why every cosmetic plan begins with a check of the health of your teeth and gums: aesthetics built on an unhealthy foundation do not last.

Teeth whitening

Whitening lightens the natural colour of your teeth by several shades. The result depends on the condition of the enamel and on how prone your teeth are to sensitivity. At-home whitening uses custom trays made from an impression of your teeth and certified products – always on the recommendation and under the supervision of a dentist. Crowns, veneers and fillings do not change colour with whitening, which is taken into account when planning.

Porcelain veneers

Thin ceramic veneers are bonded to the front surface of the teeth to correct their shape, colour and minor irregularities in position. Usually only minimal reshaping of the tooth is needed, and in some cases none at all. Veneers are a good choice when your teeth are healthy but you would like a visible change to your smile. More on our Veneers page.

Aesthetic crowns

For more severely damaged or previously treated teeth, all-ceramic or zirconia crowns restore a natural appearance and protect the tooth. When feasible, we make up to 6 all-ceramic crowns in a single day.

Veneers, all-ceramic, zirconia or SaraMax?

A brief comparison – we make the final recommendation after your examination:

  • Veneers – for healthy front teeth whose shape and colour we are changing; the least reshaping of the tooth.
  • All-ceramic crowns – for damaged or previously treated front teeth; they cover the whole tooth, with the most natural play of light.
  • Zirconia crowns – for back teeth, bridges and restorations on implants, where strength is important.
  • SaraMax Premium – our premium way of crafting full-zirconia restorations, with an individual design for every crown.

Professional cleaning and polishing

We remove plaque, tartar and staining from coffee, tea and tobacco, paying particular attention to the spaces between the teeth. This is often enough for a visibly brighter smile. If you have no gum inflammation, it is recommended twice a year.

Questions & answers

Frequently asked questions

Veneers or crowns?

Veneers are less invasive and suitable for healthy teeth whose shape and colour you would like to change. Crowns are better for damaged, previously treated or more severely discoloured teeth. The two are often combined within one smile.

Does whitening damage the teeth?

Under a dentist's supervision and with certified products, whitening is a safe procedure. Temporary tooth sensitivity is possible and usually disappears after treatment.

How long do whitening results last?

It depends on your habits – coffee, tea, red wine and smoking darken the teeth again. With good hygiene and occasional touch-ups, the result lasts longer.

Can I see my new smile before it is made?

Before fabrication we discuss the shape, length and colour of the teeth, and we carry out a try-in before the veneers or crowns are permanently fitted.
