Our story
Why we gave zirconia a name.
Almost every dental practice offers zirconia crowns today. But two crowns made from the same material can be very different – in precision, shape, colour and the care that has gone into every step.
SaraMax Premium is the name for our standard: the way we plan, design and make premium full-zirconia restorations in the Saradent laboratory. We are not a zirconia manufacturer – we choose the materials and take responsibility for the entire fabrication process, from digital plan to finishing.
Material
Full zirconia – strength and aesthetics in a single material.
SaraMax restorations are made from full zirconia, using high-quality zirconia materials. Zirconia contains no metal, so there is no dark line at the gum and no grey shimmer, and it is strong enough for back teeth, bridges and restorations on implants.
The final appearance of a crown depends not only on the material but also on how it is shaped and finished. Finishing using the SaraMax process is our laboratory signature – a recipe we keep to ourselves.

Examination and plan
The dentist assesses your teeth, gums and bite and agrees the goal with you – the shape, colour and character of your smile.

Digital impression
Your teeth are scanned and the data goes straight to the laboratory.

Individual design
The dental technician designs each crown in software, according to your bite, your neighbouring teeth and your face.

Precise fabrication
The restoration is milled from a zirconia block on a CAD/CAM milling machine and then sintered in a furnace.

Finishing using the SaraMax process
Our laboratory signature – which is why a SaraMax restoration looks natural next to your own teeth.

Try-in and fitting
We check the appearance and bite, refine on the spot and fix the restoration permanently.
Design
Every crown is shaped for one person.
There is no such thing as a universally beautiful tooth. Length, width, edges and shade are matched to your face, your lips and your remaining teeth. Some people want a natural smile that no one notices as dental work, others a brighter, more striking one – both goals are legitimate, and we agree on them before fabrication.
Because the treatment rooms and the laboratory are in the same building, the dental technician can see you in person, and small adjustments to colour and shape are made on the same day.
Our own laboratory
Made a few metres from the treatment room.
SaraMax Premium exists because we have our own dental laboratory: CAD workstations, a CAD/CAM milling machine, sintering and ceramic furnaces, and experienced dental technicians. Control over every step also means fast fabrication – timeframes are measured in days, and in suitable cases even less.

What is SaraMax Premium?

Is SaraMax a type of zirconia?
No. SaraMax is neither a manufacturer nor a type of zirconia, but the name for our standard of craftsmanship – the choice of materials, design, fabrication and finishing in the Saradent laboratory.
How does SaraMax differ from an ordinary zirconia crown?
In the process: every restoration is digitally planned and individually designed, then made and finished in our own laboratory, under the control of the same team that treats you.
How long does it take to make?
It depends on the extent of the work. Thanks to our own laboratory, turnaround times are short – you receive an exact plan after your examination.
Can SaraMax crowns be placed on implants?
Yes – zirconia is a common choice for crowns and bridges on implants.
