Saradent Lab

Our own dental laboratory

Crowns, bridges, dentures and implant restorations are made in the same building where you are treated. That is why we can offer short timeframes, quick adjustments and restorations shaped specifically for you.

Why it matters

Six advantages of a laboratory under one roof.

Most dental practices order their restorations from external laboratories: the impression is sent off, the restoration comes back, and every adjustment means another round of waiting. At Saradent, the dentist and the dental technician work together – every day, on the same patients.

  1. 01

    Direct communication

The dentist and technician agree on details face to face, with no intermediaries and no misunderstandings.

  2. 02

    Digital planning

The treatment room and the laboratory share the same digital model – from 3D scan to restoration design.

  3. 03

    Control over fabrication

The materials and every step of fabrication are under our supervision.

  4. 04

    Personalisation

The technician can see you in person and match the shape and colour to your face.

  5. 05

    A faster workflow

No couriers and no shipping – try-ins and adjustments take hours instead of days.

  6. 06

    More efficient cosmetic work

That is what makes a Hollywood Smile in 2–4 days (on request, and depending on the situation, even within 24 hours) and up to 6 all-ceramic crowns in a single day possible.

How we work

A crown's journey through our laboratory.

A digital workflow connects the treatment room and the laboratory in a single process.

  1. 01

    Digital impression

The scanned teeth reach the laboratory the moment the impression is taken.

  2. 02

    CAD design

The dental technician designs the restoration in software, according to your bite and neighbouring teeth.

  3. 03

    Milling and 3D printing

Zirconia and other materials are processed on a CAD/CAM milling machine; models and auxiliary parts are produced on 3D printers.

  4. 04

    Sintering and firing

Zirconia gains its final strength in a sintering furnace, and ceramics are fired in a ceramic furnace.

  5. 05

    Hand finishing

The part of the work that calls for the experience and eye of a dental technician – for SaraMax restorations, using our SaraMax process.

  6. 06

    Try-in at the clinic

The restoration is tried in your mouth; if an adjustment is needed, the technician makes it straight away.

Surgical guides

Guides for guided implant placement – from our own laboratory.

The implant surgeon plans the position of each implant in exoplan software, on a 3D model of your jaw, and our laboratory makes the surgical guide according to that plan. That is why guided implant placement takes 10–15 minutes per implant – without cutting or stitching the gum, with no bleeding and no pain.

Equipment

Modern equipment for digital fabrication.

In our laboratory and clinic we work with equipment that enables a fully digital fabrication workflow:

  • CAD workstations

For the digital design of crowns, bridges, surgical guides and other restorations.

  • CAD/CAM milling machine

Precise milling of restorations from zirconia and other blocks.

  • 3D printers

For models, surgical guides and auxiliary parts.

  • Sintering furnace

For the final strength of zirconia restorations.

  • Ceramic furnace

    For firing ceramic restorations.

  • 3D CBCT in the clinic

Diagnostic data that is also used when planning restorations.

People

Technology speeds things up. Experience makes the difference.

Machines make what has been designed – but the shape, colour and character of a tooth depend on the dental technicians. Saradent has more than 40 years of experience in dentistry and dental technology, and our technicians work side by side with our dentists every day.

We make all types of prosthetic restorations: crowns, bridges, fixed and removable dentures, implant restorations and clear aligners.

Questions & answers

About our laboratory

Why does it matter that a clinic has its own laboratory?

Speed, precision and communication: the dentist and technician work together, adjustments are made immediately, and timeframes are shorter because nothing has to be shipped.

What do you make in the laboratory?

Crowns (zirconia, all-ceramic, metal-ceramic), bridges, implant restorations, fixed and removable dentures, surgical guides and clear aligners.

Who makes the guides for guided implant placement?

Our own laboratory, according to the implant surgeon's 3D plan – in the same building, with no shipping and no waiting.

Can I meet the dental technician?

For cosmetic work, the technician sees you in person when needed – this helps ensure that the shape and colour of the teeth are right for you.

Does the laboratory also work for other practices?

No – the laboratory works exclusively for Saradent patients.
